3D Printing in Dentistry: A Hands-On Workshop for Making the Dental Surgical Guide
AbstractDigital dentistry is exploding to provide more efficient and high-quality dental care. 3D printing is a booming, versatile, reliable, and effective technology for digital dentistry. There are many applications of 3D printing in dentistry, such as surgical guides, dental models, temporary prostheses, orthodontic appliances, and titanium implants. This workshop will provide dentists with a practical insight into the basic workflow of 3D designing and 3D printing. Please come to join us if you are interested in 3D printing and would like to have a try by yourself. You will gain the experience to design and print a surgical guide from scratch.
BiographyTeddy Yang is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. His research interest is the clinical application of 3D printing and digital workflow in oral reconstruction. He has a good experience of 3D designing and 3D printing of patient-specific surgical plates.
